Gordian Consulting has a proven record of enabling the strategic goals of INGOs and small and medium sized enterprises in conflict affected and low infrastructure environments.

The company leadership boasts a collective experience in excess of 50 years within the UK’s Special Branch and Armed Forces, engaged in the imaginative delivery of Crown objectives. This is coupled to Doctoral research in the security and intelligence spheres. Experiences range across professional civil servants, military and police officers to offer the widest range of perspectives.

Our Approach

Gordian develop bespoke solutions to ensure that organisations, whether humanitarian, developmental NGOs and charities, or small and medium sized private enterprises expanding into conflict affected or low infrastructure areas for the first time, can achieve their strategic objectives efficiently while meeting their duty of care responsibilities.

We use an understanding of your strategic goals, detailed research into the operating environment and your capacity, resources and risk appetite to develop appropriate governance structures and a comprehensive range of safety and security tools.

Where We Work

Gordian Consulting has experience of delivery in N. Africa including Libya and Egypt, E. Africa, Middle East, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India and Turkey, China as well as more benign environments such as Europe and the United States. It can offer (inter alia) cultural awareness in Middle Eastern, African and Asian environments, and language capability in Swahili, Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati and Arabic.
